This morning the rumours were confirmed that the X Factor USA host, Steve Jones had been sacked after weeks of speculation if Simon Cowell was going to replace him.

It now turns out he didn’t just sack Steve he also waved goodbye to Nicole Scherzinger and his partner in crime, Paula Abdul, which is quite shocking.  L.A Reid is still safe for now but, rumours of replacements are already circulating with Mariah Carey being ready to take over.

Steve just tweeted his response to this mornings news, he said

I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I can’t complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.

Wonder if  Dermot O’Leary is still secretly hoping for that call? fingers crossed, as the UK X Factor presenter has already mentioned he might not be back for this year’s show, should we read more into that?

But we have heard E!News presenter and Fashion Police panelist, Giuliana Rancic, is also in the running.
