Lady Gaga is making sure albums have more of a rock vibe to them by listening to legends like Def Leppard because she has become hooked on the band’s music after her dad played his vinyl to the family in New Jersey.

She explains how their music influences hers, she says

With my music there are lots of really big Def Leppard-style melodies in the choruses but it’s electronic dance music. I’d call it avant-garde techno rock. It is very hard and very edgy.

There are a lot of rock influences but not that it is rock music.

She then talks about how she has involved all the other styles of music as well, she says

It is an exploration of electric music and techno songs but I have created a genre of metal/dance/techno/rock/pop music with a lot of anthemic choruses, because that is actually the music I love.

And she has also declared her love for another music legend, she says

I’m obsessed with Bruce Springsteen. My father used to play his records all the time when I was a kid.
